Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

 

This is a pipeline requisition designed to collect resumes for potential upcoming work at AMERICAN SYSTEMS and does not represent a current opening.  Qualified candidates will be contacted when an opening becomes available.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Information Warfare (IW) expertise to review IW training and readiness programs for Live, Virtual, Constructive requirements supporting United States Fleet Forces Command (USFF)/Commander Pacific Fleet (CPF).
  • Develop Fleet level use cases and requirements in support of LVC training capabilities.
  • Conduct analyses and develop white papers as appropriate to support projects in support of Fleet LVC training requirements.
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise for current Fleet Training Requirements Management Group processes and interface with Fleet training experts to develop new and enduring LVC requirements.
  • Coordinate as needed with Naval Information Warfare Command (NAVIFOR) and Systems Commands, to integrate requirements for constructive and virtual representations and training systems to meet current and future U.S Navy training objectives.
  • Provide large staff level IW support for training and readiness requirements development.
  • Coordinate and liaison with Fleet and Maritime Operations Center (MOC) stakeholders in the development and execution of IW into LVC training and MOC above-Secret training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • MS Degree in technical field preferred (engineering/computer science) with 10 years of operational experience or a BS degree with at least 14 years of operational experience.
  • Must have recent Warfare operational experience and requirements development experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have valid US Driver's License.
  • Recent US Navy operational experience.
  • Knowledge of Fleet Training process to include MOC purpose and functions, Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O-FRP) and Joint/Navy exercise life cycle. 
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance

Travel Requirements: 

  • Occasional Travel - less than 15%, approximately 4 trips annually.
