A week in the life of a Proposal Analyst:
- Works with delivery organizations and business development to craft responses to RFP requirements related to past performance, resumes, staffing, and management.
- Special emphasis in this position is on past performance and corporate experience analysis, identification, and writing. You must have the ability to analyze an RFP against company contracts and identify relevant experience. You must track inputs from program managers and subcontractors and draft past performance sections that show relevance to RFP statements of work.
- Develops and authors personnel resumes in response to RFP requirements, ensuring each resume is compliant and clearly demonstrates specific skillsets, qualifications, and relevant project experiences that align with the solicitation’s statement of work. Collaborates closely with proposed candidates to gather detailed input and verify accuracy, tailoring content to highlight strengths and compliance with technical requirements.
- Prepares required plans such as quality plans, small business participation plans, safety, risk and configuration management plans.
- Interviews subject matter experts and solution architects to derive content and produce compliant and compelling proposal sections.
- Uses on-line resources of previously written source material.
- Participates in color team reviews and offer recommendations for improvement to approaches.
- Maintains repository of business development materials and researches new material and metrics that aid in proposal development.
- Participates in solution sessions and status meetings in pursuit of new business.
- Also serves as editor on occasion; ensuring proposals and marketing materials are persuasive, accurate, and mistake free.
