We are looking for an A P-8A/Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) qualified Operator Systems Engineering Liaison with demonstrated experience in advanced tactical training instruction for Maritime Patrol flight crews, and a systems engineering background. Active TS Clearance is Required.
As an AAS Operator Systems Engineering Liaison you will:
- Provide fleet liaison services and radar engineering technical support to the Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (SEIPT) in the development, production, fielding, and support for the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS).
- Manage & liaison related hardware & software issues for AAS through direct interactions with AAS crews, AAS Instructors, & MTOC support personnel.
- Support AAS ATOMS OMI and Engineering System deficiency (ICE Ticket) working groups to provide decision makers with operational relevant perspectives on software improvements and corrections to ensure operator feasibility during integration.
- Support AAS Engineering Class Desk with review/updating and generation of fleet technical support documents such as NATOPS, NATIP, and Interim Flight Clearances (IFCs)
- Participate in periodic government led reviews and updates to contractor acquisition software design documents to ensure accurate system (aircraft and TMAAS) software updates meet government specifications.
- Provide and support system data log retrievals and operational content for engineering analysis and investigations to determine causal factors.
- Assist with AAS classroom sessions, Interactive Courseware, Weapons and Tactics Trainers, Weapons Systems Trainers, and TMAAS integration.
- Support development and instruction of differences training when new or updated AAS software or hardware changes impact Fleet operations.
- As required, support TMAAS training development and implementation.
- As required, support ASTPO, NAWCTSD and/or Test organization requests for mission-based testing on future software builds and assist in software validation prior to Fleet acceptance.

A week in the life of an AAS Operator Systems Engineering Liaison:
- Provide a knowledge bridge between AAS hardware / software developers and AAS fleet operators to address specifics issues affecting capabilities.
- Apply your knowledge as a subject matter expert of the AAS and P-8A AAS training, tactical systems, and mission system utilization to support student training.
- Support execution of daily flight schedule priorities supporting student instruction as directed.
- Coordinate with Fleet users to provide recommendations for prioritization of Hardware / Software discrepancies to the AAS program office.
