Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Performs high-level functional and IT analysis.
  • Manages daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be client or server, based.
  • Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using KM/DS.
  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems for KM/DS applications.
  • Performs system backups and recovery.
  • Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Apply principles and methods to difficult problems in technical areas to arrive at automated solutions.
  • Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation and creates charts and graphs to record results.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in computer science, information system plus three (3) years of task related experience; OR Associates’ degree from a college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in computer science, information system, plus six (6) years task related experience; OR an applicable training certificate issued in accordance with guidelines provided by the software vendor (i.e. Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, Oracle DBA,) from an accredited training institution plus ten (10) years of task related experience.
  • SA requires the clearance and capability to perform duties on networks operating at the SIPR, SCI and SAP levels.
  • Certified in compliance with DoDD 8570.01m as an IAT level 2, including an operating system/computing environment certification from an accredited training institution or center for specified software.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
