Responsibilities

Working on the Defense critical technology areas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of advancing national defense capabilities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, and more. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department’s most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

As an Operations Lead, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Provide operational leadership for all aspects of a Critical Technology Area (CTA) office’s day-to-day operations, working in step with the Government leadership to ensure successful mission execution across a team of analysts, assistants, and subject matter experts.
  • Assist with and prepare presentations, reports, and other business products.
  • Maintain visibility on tasking across the team and provide regular status updates to the Government leadership including contributing to weekly, monthly, quarterly activity reports.
  • Implement quality management processes as defined by the Government leadership.
  • Support knowledge management activities for the team including SharePoint information and document repositories.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
  • S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant STEM discipline and at least 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in leadership positions
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with industry standard management techniques such as PMP or Agile is highly desired.
