As part of a collaborative team of technical experts, you will support the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Accelerator. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to support independent technical assessments, provide expert analysis of emerging technologies, and contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department’s most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

 

• As an engineer for the Accelerator, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
• Support the office of the Program Manager (PM) for NC3 within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
• Advise on technology transition and transfer opportunities; identify creative partnering opportunities and draft relevant agreements (CRADAs, MOUs, etc.).
• Assist in outreach to the S&T community to enable technology development including other U.S. Government, industry, academia, and international partners.
• Assist with and prepare presentations, reports, and other business products as directed by the PM.

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
• Master’s Degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 10 years of applicable experience or a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline and 7 years of applicable experience.
• Demonstrated experience with technology transition and transfer approaches.
• Understanding of NC3 research and development and associated strategies is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to create professional communications products for Defense audiences.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
