Responsibilities

As the Software Engineer, Junior, you will:

  • Join an engaged, 100% employee-owned company
  • Basic Linux/windows troubleshooting skills
  • Bash scripting
  • Analyze software engineering/software integration problems
  • Perform software integration and testing for aircraft avionics systems.
  • Perform software management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, throughput and cybersecurity
  • Develop and apply automated solutions to problems.
  • Use development tools to update tasks and stories, check-in, and version control
  • Analyze commercially available, open source, government furnished and contractor furnished software.
  • Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces
  • Contribute to software specifications and designs for proposed solutions

Qualifications

  • Active or the ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ experience.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $65,700.00/Yr. - USD $109,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
