Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Middleware Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and provide hands-on support the DSCA SCIP Development and Test environments throughout the transition from DSCA ULAN to DISA DECC. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Oracle Middleware technologies and extensive experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Design and Implementation: Oversee and conduct the architecture, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Middleware solutions.
  • Transition Management: Manage the migration of the DSCA SCIP Development and Test environments from DSCA ULAN to DISA DECC.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of Oracle Middleware solutions.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and stakeholders in middleware technologies and best practices.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during development, testing, and production phases.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements per DoD regulations and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Required:

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Middleware products (WebLogic Server, OAM, OUD)
    • 3+ years of command-line Linux experience
    • Proven track record leading middleware migration projects in DoD environments
    • Experience with:
      • DISA policies and procedures
      • Oracle CPU and STIG application & troubleshooting
      • Common Access Card (CAC) authentication
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance
    • U.S. Citizenship
    • Security+ certification (or equivalent)

Preferred:

    • Experience with:
      • RSA Tokens
      • HAProxy
      • F5 Load Balancers
      • IIS/Tomcat

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong understanding of middleware architecture and integration methodologies.
    • Proficiency in Oracle databases and application server technologies.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $108,100.00/Yr. - USD $180,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
