Responsibilities

A Week in the Life of an on-site Network Engineer III:
 
  • Configure and troubleshoot Enterprise-level Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect data and control access to the US Government customer's classified network.
  • Install and configure Cisco router and switches.
  • Troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching, VMware, and VPN issues.
  • Coordinate on-site with remote users to install/configure equipment and troubleshoot remote Network layer 2 and layer 3 issues.
  • Propose enhancements to improve performance and reduce costs of maintaining a compliant network.
  • Interface with senior management and their vendors' technical personnel.
  • Allowed to work independently or semi-independently with minimum guidance or direction.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required
  • TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors Degree or 6 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 8-10 years of networking experience
  • Experience with Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting, Cisco router, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3
  • Candidates with CCNP and/or CCIE may be given higher consideration.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $92,100.00/Yr. - USD $193,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
