Responsibilities

As an Oracle Database Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Work with the latest Oracle technologies and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals and help shape the system architecture with your expertise.
  • Managing backend Oracle 19c databases on Linux (RHEL) servers to support the GoldESP application.
  • Performing database backup, maintenance, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness using Oracle RMAN.
  • Developing interactive analytic reports and dashboards to meet mission-critical requirements.
  • Collaborating with business users to define and implement analytic and reporting solutions.
  • Ensuring database integrity through monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries to support data retrieval, reporting, and application support.
  • Developing and maintaining PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SQL/PLSQL performance issues in collaboration with team members.

Qualifications

  • Active TOP SECRET clearance w/SCI eligibility required.
  • BA/BS with 5-7 years experience as an Oracle DBA or Developer (Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Current Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification required
  • Proven expertise with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA).
  • Experience managing Oracle databases on Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with PL/SQL programming (advanced skills are a plus).
  • Exposure to SQL performance tuning and query optimization (training and mentoring provided).
  • Hands-on experience writing and optimizing queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Proficiency with Oracle RMAN for disaster recovery and archiving.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Advanced Security and Oracle Label Security.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $78,100.00/Yr. - USD $164,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
