Responsibilities

As an Electronics Analyst with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Report and brief critical finds to both military and DoD civilian leadership.
  • Capture, characterize and identify IED electrical/electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules and circuit board characteristics, operating frequencies and power.
  • Analyze recovered electronic components including switching circuits and power sources.
  • Identify electronic IED components visually, conduct research and provide information, and develop accurate schematics of devices.
  • Analyze, demodulate and decode signals in order to extract intelligence data using standardized demodulation and decoding tools and techniques for commonly encountered signals.
  • Perform Electronic Data Recovery (EDR) of logical and physical data on cell phones and other media storage devices using hardware/software tools including Cellebrite UFED, XRY, FTK and other forensic tools and analyze EDR files to recover data that may be of investigative or intelligence value.
  • Support development of countermeasures for electronic devices/signals.
  • Provide information to assist in profiling and signature analysis.
  • Produce storyboards and technical reports on captured data.
  • Maintain and document chain of custody of items and data. Train replacement personnel on SOP.
  • Obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

  • Current DOD Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS, two years) degree or an applicable technical field from an accredited college with 3-5 years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field or 5-7 years of professional military experience as an electronic technician.
  • Physical ability and commitment to deploy globally as a CEXC team member.
  • Ability to possess/handle firearms in support of CEXC operations with WTI Lexicon, SIPRNET and Community of Interest databases and portals is desired.
  • Understanding of lab processes and workflow for device exploitation efforts and profiling.
  • Knowledge in global IED devices and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) threat.
  • Experience must include electronic printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and troubleshooting, Radio Frequency (RF) field, operation of lab instrumentations including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, communication receivers, RF signal generators and handheld digital multi-meters and schematic capture tools.
  • Experience working with a CEXC, WTI, counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) Team, DTK, JEFF, TEDAC, NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab.
  • Experience developing and supporting the Weapons Technical Intelligence Enterprise.
  • Prior U.S. Military or civilian experience working in EOD or C-IED.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $56,000.00/Yr. - USD $117,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
