Responsibilities

As an Agile Software Development Configuration Manager with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Responsible for the Configuration Management (CM) development, execution, testing, validation, and documentation of the processes involved with developed software information technology solutions.
  • Operate the defined and agreed upon CM process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant solutions.
  • Manage Azure DevOps to include planning, tracking, building, testing and deployment using GitHub/PowerShell toolset.
  • Review the effectiveness and efficiency, performing audits, and managing the improvement cycle.
  • Evaluate performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institutes actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the configuration management process as necessary.
  • Direct, prioritize, and schedule audits, as necessary, and ensure that any corrective actions are identified.
  • Produce and report management information, including impact analysis reports and configuration status reports.
  • Identify opportunities and submit recommendations to the team for improvement with respect to tools, staff, training, process, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Understand and create basic scripting to automate repetitive CM tasks or to make items that can be executed by team using PowerShell.
  • Use Git to support teams use of the platform in development efforts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 13+ years of related experience, Associate's Degree and 10+ years of related experience, Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with the willingness to take an agency CI polygraph when requested.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work on own with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to support up to 5% CONUS travel.
